Dupont East, North & West); Logan & Thomas Circles; Mt. Pleasant; Mt. Vernon Sq.; Shaw/U St. Times shown are approximate. Emphasis here is placed, for the most part, on listing crimes against persons occurring in or adjacent to public space. Not generally reported are most assaults stemming from verbal altercations nor the extraordinary numbers of burglaries, auto heists, and "smash and grab" from parked cars.
